The Visibility Laboratory

The Visibility Laboratory, an enterprise of PALLC, has been established to a) show how dVE mitigates a little-known limitation of the human visual system that renders certain image information invisible, b) to provide examples of the benefits of dVE processing, and c) offer dVE-based image processing as well as image and video forensic analysis services.

The header image for this segment of the website shows, side-by-side, a Vesta asteroid raw image transmitted by the Dawn spacecraft and the corresponding dVE processed image. The raw image invisible information unlocked by dVE processing is striking.
